This Angry World We Live In..Makes Me Mad

I don’t watch the news much, it is too depressing. It is all negative, sad depressing stuff and I don’t need it. You know what they say, ‘ If it bleeds, it leads” – that is the truth.

Why do we not hear a few good stories mixed in with the ax murdering parent, the young married couple that were killed on their honeymoon night- and things like that? Would it KILL them to mix in a positive? I know we need to hear about what is going on, but lets have an even balance of the good and the bad. All this anger is getting me ticked off. Livid even.

I have had enough of all the miserable people in this world who go around making others feel as lousy as they do. If you are miserable, find a happy person to hang around, but don’t pull everyone else down into your mud. People seem to get more pleasure from hurting others then helping them. Where did this come from? Is it any wonder relationships are lasting no time, marriages are ending in divorce the majority of the time, and people cannot even maintain friendships anymore without nit picking each other to death?

Here is an idea; ho about trying to go back to the traditional things that made relationships strong. Covering up an offense for a friend, instead of using the opportunity to spread gossip. How about apologizing to a friend when you have had a disagreement, instead of waiting to they come begging you to forgive them? Maybe occasionally admitting that it was your fault, even if you don;t know for sure, just for the sake of putting an end to an rift?

The bottom line for  is that not one of us has any room to finger point. The truth is, on any of our very best days, we still fall short big time. Maybe others don’t get to see it all the time, but you and I know its true. It is amazing to me that we as a society will be quick to point out someone else’s mistake in front of everyone, as if we haven’t made the same mistake before. This angry world we live in seems to sleep better at night if we have gone to bed feeling we are better then the others.

The whole notion of lifting others up is gone, and now it seems more like ” pull them down ” so they can be as miserable as others. I have even seen people look at a smiling person, and say ‘  What are you smiling about?” – Think about that. Asking a person why they are happy. That is where we are today. Asking someone why they are smiling. Everyone seems to want to just keep things negative. Make sure nobody enjoys their lives at all, because it would not be fair to the people who are miserable all the time.

From middle school on up to adults, I see nothing but hatred in much of the world. Kids are making fun of other kids until they kill themselves sometimes. Adults are not much better role models either many times. In the world we live in, with all the problems, like ISIS and terrorists and hatred, you would think people would want to pull it together and realize that this does not work. Maybe people would want to change things, but instead we argue to take kind of morality out of our schools, and stop kids from praying.., ( GOD FORBID)

I personally think we have pretty good evidence to conclude that the way we have it is not working. Heck, I will go out on a limb and say I would put bibles back in school, and take out the transgender literature for children to read. Maybe go a step further and Define some absolute wrong and rights. I know it is crazy but give it a chance, who knows, maybe some rights and wrongs may produce some good fruit.

I think the reason I took time to put this on paper is because I have noticed myself becoming more and more depressed as I see our daily society in action. It should not be like that. I spend more time thinking of how I can explain the crazy ways of this world to my own kids then I do having fun with them enjoying it. Call it tolerance, or whatever you like, but certain things are just not appropriate for the eyes of children. As a matter of fact some are not appropriate for the eyes of adults either.

So, I go out into this world each day and something feels as if everything good has been hijacked and replaced with a counterfeit. The things created one way have been twisted in ways they were not meant to go. The interesting thing about it all, is even though our world gets more ugly each day as we change the rules, nobody seems to care. Not many want to go back to the way things worked. So, we swim upstream in a world that is trying to talk us out of what is right every day and make us believe their is an alternative.

Some things were not meant to be touched. Some things were placed a certain way for a reason, not to be changed. Its not our job to rearrange things we did not create. That is the way of people today. I am glad I choose to be happy because I do not think living so miserable would do much for me or anyone around me. Maybe it is just me, but I still believe. I still believe that things were put together in a certain way to run a certain way.

Call it faith if you want ( sorry to those who are offended by that word) but I do still believe in right and wrong. I do believe in building each other up in relationships. I still believe in seeing what is right in this world not what is wrong. I wonder if I will get any hate mail for still believing. After all, many folks hate it when others feel good. I am just angry enough to stay my course, lest I end up spending my days counting what is wrong in my life. I feel good about it too.
